TAIWAN INTERNATIONAL COFFEE SHOW

DAK X PLAQ

It’s going to be cold. Good. PLAQ makes some of the best chocolate coming out of Paris right now, all texture and depth, and we’ve been wanting to do something with them for a while. November felt right: hot chocolate weather, cuppings weather, stand-around-with-a-warm-cup-and-talk-to-strangers weather. So for five days, our showroom turns into a little corner of that. Proper hot chocolate. Cuppings paired with chocolate. A few more surprises we’re not going to spoil here.

Pop-up

Tastings happen in the dedicated back room of the showroom on Bellamyplein in Amsterdam. Blind cupping setup on the table, brewing setups arranged for side-by-side comparison. Quiet, focused, away from the main bar. Please note the tasting room is not suited for children under 12.

BOOK WORKSHOP

Private tasting

A curated private tasting of different coffees along with an expert explanation of effects of harvest, processing, sourcing and roasting on taste. Also including a course brewed on our Showroom bar evaluating the effect extraction and/or milk pairing has on the coffees’ flavour. All tastings are conducted in English. Please be advised that our Tasting Room is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

Kappy Design is a lifestyle brand founded in Seoul in 2020. They create products built to last, designed without the constraints of size, gender, or trend. Rooted in the essence of materials, they offer seasonal updates guided by one simple principle: “3 LESS.” We had the pleasure of collaborating with Kappy Design on a joint piece, and they also brought some of their samples along for a sample sale. From the very beginning, the energy between us felt right, when we proposed the idea of a pop-up together, they were immediately on board and brought exactly the kind of enthusiasm and intention that makes a collaboration truly work. We love what they do and how they do it.
